Pickup at Pune in the morning. Drive ~3.5 hours into the dense Sahyadri forest to Bhimashankar — the source of the Bhima river and one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. Afternoon darshan, evening walk in the surrounding Bhimashankar Wildlife Sanctuary (home to the giant Indian squirrel), overnight at a temple lodge.
